Elderberries are dark purple fruits with a sweet-tart, fruity flavor. They make tasty, warming winter cordials, teas, syrups and wines. Elderberries contain bioflavonoids and vitamin C.
Label Directions
To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 1 tsp. of herb. Cover and steep 3-5 minutes, strain and serve immediately.
Suggested Uses
In addition to its use as a wellness tea, elderberry can be used as an ingredient in foods such as in a simple syrup for pancakes, ice cream, popsicles, fruit compote and chutney.
